The Early College Awareness Program College Tour will include the following schools: Maynard Elementary, Beaumont Elementary, Belle Morris Elementary, Whittle Springs Middle and Vine Middle schools. Run For The Schools will take place at the Knoxville Zoo again this year and begins at 8:00 a. m. Cost for the event is $10.00 for students and $20.00 for adults before registration deadline which is March 13th. After the deadline, cost is $15.00 for students and $25.00 for adults. Zoo admission is free to event participants and volunteers. Additional information will be made available later to include registration information.
The month of February is when we celebrate College and Career Month where each of the 14 Project GRAD schools will schedule activities that focus on college and career choices available to students. Several schools have invited speakers to come in and speak with students, while others have designed several activities focusing on the many college choices available as well as career choices. A complete list of activities by school will be posted before the end of the week.
